The role?
EnerMech are looking to take on Mechanical Apprentices in late 2023 or early 2024. Due to an increase in projected workload our workshops on site in Great Yarmouth will be looking to appoint Apprentices from a Mechanical bias to complete their Apprenticeship.
You will get opportunity to work across our variety of workshops including Mechanical, Cranes/Hydraulics, Pumps & Motors, Valves and Rigging & Lifting.
You will be expected to undertake and successfully complete suitable college courses throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills in order to entitle yearly progression leading to the award of Level 2 Engineering Operative. This will be a minimum of 12 months to achieve alongside workshop practical skills such as Pressure Testing, Joint Integrity and Forklift driving. At the end of the apprenticeship phase you will become an Improver and your Competency will be assessed before becoming a fully-fledged Mechanical Operative with the opportunity to work nationally or offshore.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week with a lunch break of one hour in addition. The salary paid is £17,000.00 per year.
