General Management Airswift is seeking a Project Control & Logistics Planner to work with one of our clients in the oil and gas industry in Calgary, AB, on a 12-month contract.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities as a Team Member:

Responsibilities
Ensure assigned activity in the Plan-to-Plan milestone are completed in support of the TA Management Process including:
Turnaround Initiation Phase
• Develop all project controls plans for the TA;
• Ensure implementation/maintenance of the project cost tracking tools to monitor and analyze budget, work orders, actual costs and budget variances.
• Develop a Level 1 plan for logistics including camps, transportation, offices
• Coordinate updates to TA documentation management system, updates, and setup
• Develop status reporting through the various stages of the project.
Scope Definition & Planning
• Maintain the work list integrating with SAP and project controls are aligned
• Compile /develop status reports of all aspects of the project
• Track milestones for planning and scheduling activities
• Coordinate the development of a comprehensive service provider list in conjunction with TA
Planning, Supply Chain, and Execution teams.
Ensure alignment to budgets
• Define the camp loading and transportation requirements based on the plan and schedule
• Track materials and review with the planning team
• Coordinate efforts with execution teams to develop a comprehensive field communication plan which primarily includes radio communications, channel designation and protocol.
Detailed Planning
• Ensure interaction between all parties are working seamlessly for logistics setup
• Detailed planning of overall logistics requirement; accommodations, transportation, vehicles, offices, IT (Information Technology)
• Confirm facilities availability for office and workforce requirements
• Lead the development of the plot plan marked up with work locations, bathrooms, rental equipment, temporary tanks etc.
• TA Execution Playbook development and plan in place to complete & communicate
• Interfacing with turnaround safety functions to support the implementation of the Turnaround Safety Plan, specifically for medical facilities, people/equipment coexistence, etc.
Pre-Execution
• Coordinate contractor and execution team induction meetings and workshops
• Confirm details on office locations and seating charts
• Confirm contractor office and lunchroom spaces
• Setup offices with IT and equipment and service needs
• Coordinate camp room details with contractors and CVE
• Coordinate setup of TA logistics team
• Confirm details for TA reporting with all stakeholders
• Confirm project controls are in place for execution
• Coordinate budget development with all teams to develop a final TA cost estimate
Execution (site based)
• Addressing all logistics needs during the turnaround, including, but not limited to: parking, traffic flow and control, people and material trailers, lunch/break facilities, bussing and flights, overall plot plan, site access details.
• Daily TA reporting
• Support mob and de-mob of contractors' logistics
• Interface with TA Cost tracking for reporting
• Communicate with Project Controls late work or found work implications
• Setup and administrative support for daily TA meetings
Closeout
• Compile the TA Close Out report and lessons learned with support from the TA team
• Ongoing coordination of TA improvement opportunity reviews
• Ensure accommodations, trailers, IT are decommissioned
• Support contractor closeout and final cost tracking
Responsibilities toward continuous improvement:
All staff are:
• Leading or supporting continuous improvement projects as needs arise.
• Responsible for creating a sustainable continuous improvement culture by continually seeking to improve performance and their work processes to be better, more efficient, more effective, and safer. This includes challenging the status quo and identifying and executing both strategic and focused improvement efforts that directly support the Plan, Execute, Review, Improve (PERI) cycle.
Responsibilities toward safety, regulatory and the environment:
Execute responsibilities according to Company' Safety Commitments by complying to safety policies & procedures, escalating unsafe work and identifying safety concerns
Execute responsibilities according to Company' Environmental Commitments by considering the environment in work activities and contributing to continually improving environmental performance
This position will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Company Drug and Alcohol policy which includes pre-assignment testing
Qualifications:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Turnaround planning and coordination would be an asset
• MS Project or Primavera skills would be an asset
• Exceptional MS Excel, MS Office Suite, and data management skills
• Experience with SAP maintenance, materials and project workflow processes
• Project Control (estimating, planning) experience should be an asset
• Financial reporting experience should be an asset
• Well-developed communication and interpretation skills along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
