Our client is looking for an experienced professional to oversee the project controls function for a large multidisciplinary capital engineering and construction project to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from municipal solid waste feedstocks.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

• Verify and Approve contractors overall Project Schedule from planning perspective.
• Validate the contractors Project resourcing plan aligned with project schedule.
• Guide and direct the resolution of project difficulties and complex project controls issues.
• Review all project controls information and ensure accuracy.
• Identify issues, concerns and potential mitigations and review / discuss them with the project management team.
• Provide input and guidance to Project and Corporate Management, participate in regular project meetings.
• Identify and communicate design changes, scope changes and schedule slippages and potential impacts and supervise and validate the proposed mitigation plans.
• Monthly review of project reports from contractors
• Oversee and drive forward change management process, communicate with project management team. Suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure the accuracy of reported progress percentage based on the rules of credit established within the project.
• Manage the project Front-End Loading (FEL) stage gate process, including reporting to the corporate management.
• Manage the document control / information management discipline
• Oversee project baseline process for cost, schedule, and progress. Ensure all project systems are implemented in accordance with best practices and company standards / procedures.
• Ensure trends of cost and schedule are identified and reported by the team timely and accurately
• Oversee project risk management
• Manage the project control's function personnel.
• Provide guidance and data to the project management team.
• Ensure effective interface of Project Controls teams with the multidisciplinary project team, including engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 15+ Years' project controls Experience in Power Plants, O&G industries

• At least 5 years in the project controls discipline in a management role.

• Leadership ability and strong management skills

• Strong understanding of Primavera and with the overall planning process, including best practices.

• Experience of cost control including project estimating, forecasting and cost management (incl. reporting)

• Ability to multi-task in a high paced project environment

• Experience using SAP

• Experience of projects in development and EPC

• Proficiency in MS Office - including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business or related fields.
