Cost Controller - New York City, NY

Our client is seeking a Cost Controller to work within their office located in New York City, NY for a 1-year assignment plus extensions. This position will operate on a hybrid schedule and is open for local candidates or individual that wish to relocate at their own cost.

The job holder will work under the supervision of the cost control lead to ensure full tracking, alignment, and reporting of the costs associated with the development of two offshore windfarms with an estimated $10B TIC structured as an LLC with 3 partners with different scopes and investment profiles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Updating the Project Cost System with commitments and actuals
• Assign budgets to commitments.
• Managing the invoice approval workflow
• Group all forecast changes into trends and provide justification, documentation, and summary for each trend.
• Work with contract leads and scheduling to time phase ETC forecast.
• Updating the Earned Value (VoWD) of each package monthly, documenting the basis for all records.
• Continuously audit all cost data to ensure quality and auditability.
• Document cost control process and status to document to shareholder

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with cost control
• Expert knowledge of MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc)
• Familiar with AACE's Total Cost Management framework and best practices in cost control
• Comfortable with working with large datasets and MS Access
• Familiar with procurement cycle and invoice approval process
