Job Title: Project HSE Coordinator
Contract: Full Time 12 Month Contract (chance of extension/permanent position)
Pay Rate: £200 Gross Per Day (not including holiday pay)
Location: Leeds
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Experience within Oil Field Services industry or Oil and Gas industry is highly beneficial for this role

A Project HSE Co-Ordinator would be expected to work across multiple projects at any one time as well as take a
key role in tendering activities, client engagement activities and participate in training and auditing requirements,
and to actively participate in company improvement initiatives.
A Project HSE Co-Ordinator would support the Project Manager / Director and / or Tender Manager in all areas of
HSE Management in relation to the project or opportunity.
This position takes responsibility for ensuring that our projects are completed in line with legal, corporate and client
HSE requirements, promoting best-practice and seeking to uphold the reputation of the company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Project HSE Co-Ordinator is responsible for the following activities:

  • Assist in developing preliminary Cost / Time / Resources (CTRs) tables based on tender proposal for budgeted cost, manpower allocation & activity scheduling
  • Identify Company HSE requirement on tenders, proposals and contracts to be executed in the region
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and local authorities
  • Uphold the SLB and OneSubsea HSE requirements & promote a culture of Continual Improvement on all projects
  • Identify & monitor compliance with contractual, country specific legal & regulatory requirements for projects
  • Support line management & ensure the implementation of contractual HSE requirements at each regional facility & subcontractor facility
  • Provide project & technical HSE management support to regional project teams
  • Verify the application of project specific HSE Plans during the execution of the projects
  • Participate in HSE workplace inspections, behavioral-based observations & management system audits to assist line management in identifying nonconformities, defects & system deficiencies related to the HSE aspects of project/manufactured products and work activities
  • Conduct HSE Vendor and Worksite Audits as required for project delivery
  • Support incident investigations and conduct Root Cause Analyses (as required)
  • Evaluate the contractual obligations of tendered contracts to ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements
  • Identify HSE risks associated with the execution of a Subsea systems project
  • Interpret Company's HSE requirements and develop implementation strategies to execute the requirements

Main Objectives:
  • Be the main point of contact internally, with SIA, and with Employers and subcontractors for all HSE-related issues in the EAC region.
  • Promote SLB and OSS HSE values and initiatives across the Projects team, and with the SIA, Employers, subcontractors, regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Establish dialogue with Employers on HSE issues to promote best practice and continual improvement.
Required Experience, Skills & Attributes

  • Diploma level qualification in HSE Management
  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing and project HSE management including:
  • Implementing and auditing HSE management systems
  • Process safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment and control
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of project management processes and work practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills:
  • Highly proficient in English
  • Proficient in technical writing, presentations, and training
