Our client seeks an experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to work from the client's site location in Bergen op Zoom, in a 1-year contract.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this position, you will be working on a portfolio of small and medium sizes projects.
Job requires the engineering of several projects in parallel, including field engineering assistance during construction phase.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare & issue Instrument Basis of Design, Project Specification for DCS, SIS, BMS and PLC systems and Instrumentation required for Packaged Equipment.
• Prepare, Review and approve Instrument data sheets such as Control valve, On-Off Valves, Safety Relief Valves & other field instruments etc. Verify the calculations for the orifice plate bore, Control Valve CV and PSV's, etc.
• Prepare, Review & approve Cause & Effect diagram and Logic diagrams. Review and approve all the vendor documents for DCS/SIS/BMS/PLC systems, Instruments and also for Package equipment.
• Prepare and issue Material / Technical Requisition for all instruments, carry out Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Documents Review & approval.
• Review and approve instrument Index/DCS/SIS/PLC I/O Lists
• Cable schedule, Interconnection wiring drawings, Termination drawings, Junction box schedule, Instrument Hook-up drawings, Material Take off.
• Prepare & issue Specification for Instrument cables, Junction boxes, Instrument Installation scope. Review and approve Block diagrams, Control / Rack room layout, Cable route, instrument location plan, Loop drawings.
• Review of P&ID's, Isometric drawings and 3-D modelling
• Ensure to adherence of Quality Management System, establish and follow QA plans.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor or master's degree in engineering.
• Experience in the areas of ICS instrument engineering for 5+ years, with experience within a portfolio of projects.
• Experience in development of instrument scope in FEED and Detailed Design project phases.
• Demonstrate a pro-active and pragmatic mentality.
• Real team player (cooperation with other departments and client).
• Takes ownership of the scope, budget and schedule.
• Experience in work cooperation with remote offices (work sharing concept).
• Good pro-active communication skills.
• Able to check the deliverables produced by the team.
• Has also basic knowledge of electrical scope.
• AutoCad drawing experience.
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools and PDF conversion.
