Job Description and Qualifications

The Jazan IGCC is the world's largest IGCC and ASU facility producing 2100 MMSCFD syngas, 18,000 MT/Day Oxygen, and 4 Gigawatts of power. Facilities and assets include residue gasification, acid gas clean up (Rectisol), soot ash recovery, Sulphur recovery (Claus & Scot), combined cycle power plants, materials handling systems, hydrogen recovery, air separation, water utility systems, and wastewater treatment facilities.
The Role!

An accountable Project Engineer responsible for all engineering and technical fields that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and lead all the technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The key focus of the position is to lead and supervise the technical and mechanical/piping aspects of any given project, ensuring running within budget and time frame.
Requirements of the Role:

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and supervise the assigned engineering projects.
• Supervise compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications
• Interact daily with the clients/construction team / Contractor to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status
• Assign responsibilities and mentor the project team.
• Collaborate and communicate successfully with the Project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering work and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Attend and/or lead project meetings.
• Assist and/or complete project closeout.
• Experienced in working on meaningful, fast-paced, and diverse projects.
• Assist in the preparation of packages and procurements including evaluations.

Work Experience:

• Working Experience in mechanical / Piping field in the Brownfield / Green Field projects.
• Proficient in Project Cycle and Engineering Delivery.
• Experience in working on tie-ins/interfaces.

Key Skills

• Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD and 2D / 3D engineering design
• Sophisticated MS Office skills
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, and Performance Standards
• Ability to work with multiple field projects.
• Project management and supervision skills
• Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work to agreed deadlines and timescales.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Work independently and is reviewed infrequently with minimal direction

Education & Certifications!

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years experience working with credible companies implementing upstream or downstream projects, including at least 7 years working in your primary field with an emphasis on initial engineering stages with Project Management.
• PMP certification preferred.
