Join Intertek, Transportation Technology division as a Calibration & Uncertainty Budget Engineer. You will ensure timely calibration of EV & Powertrain test cells and their associated equipment across two Milton Keynes sites using test cell software and instrumentation.

ABOUT YOU

As a Calibration & Uncertainty Budget Engineer, you will be self-motivated and willing to take on new challenges as well as being comfortable owning, adapting, and delivering plans against fast changing requirements and tight timescales.

Required skills and experience
  • Strong technical understanding of Uncertainty Measurement and the creation of budgets for a wide range of measurement instrumentation & equipment
  • Previous demonstrated experience in calibration of test cells and its associated equipment using specialist software and equipment e.g Beamex MC6 etc
  • Higher National Certificate in related subject and/or at least 5 years' experience working in an UKAS accredited laboratory
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, adapting to diverse audiences
  • Exhibits strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proven professionalism in interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Maintains a hands-on approach and a positive attitude

The following would be beneficial although not essential:
  • Knowledge of CADET, NI VeriStand or similar
  • EV/Powertrain test cell experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will conduct m easurements such as Pressure, Temperature, Torque, Speed, Flow etc and ensure it is calibrated using specialist equipment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Technical ownership of test cell equipment calibration across both sites
  • Ensure efficient daily workload adherence to approved technical standards and client instructions
  • Assist team members in troubleshooting equipment problems and check/approve certification and calculations
  • Creation & updating calibration procedures and Uncertainty Budgets
  • Act as a representative for the company in communication with clients and professional/ technical bodies
  • Support KPI data for calibration efficiency improvement within the Quality System

Based in Milton Keynes. Permanent. Full time. 37 hrs.

Mon-Fri: Core hours 32.5 (8am-3pm) & other 4.5 hrs as required; 30 min lunch break.
