About the Internship
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern, reporting directly to a Senior Furnace Inernals/Steel Engineer to join our team based in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will have an active role within the Furnace Engineering Department. You will help the team with workflow related tasks like 3D modeling in Tekla or Solidworks, extracting drawings and generating quantities from the 3D models. You will gain a deep knowledge of engineering work processes, 3D modeling techniques and converting data input into 3D models of mechanical equipment. You will also learn how projects in an international engineering and technology company are run and will help us develop a solution or tackle a problem that the team is facing, which we will come up with together.

About You
- You are currently enrolled in the last years of your BSc or MSc education in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural/Steel Engineering.
- You are currently residing in the Netherlands.
- You are comfortable in writing and speaking in English. Being able to understand and speak Dutch is a plus.
- You have an interest in the field of mechanical/furnace engineering and digital initiatives.
- You have some experience with 2D design softwares like AutoCAD and 3D modeling software like: SolidWorks, Tekla, Aveva E3D.
- You are a team player and like to work in a team environment.
