The Eddy Current Level I Technician is responsible to assist with field set up and calibration of equipment, and to perform the required inspections in accordance with Intertek applicable procedures under the supervision of NDT Level II and III Technicians.

What you'll do:

• Perform Inspections at various client facilities around the USA (required)
• Perform Tubing ECT, PEC, RFT, IRIS, and various Surface ET examinations (required)
• Ultrasonic Testing (UTT): Routine thickness measurement. (preferred)
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT): Magnetic particle examinations (preferred)
• Dye-Penetrant Testing (PT): Dye-penetrant examinations (preferred)
• Set up and calibrate equipment with respect to applicable Intertek procedures
• Become familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which performing
• Attend various NDT training classes as you rise up through the NDT ranks

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
• Valid TWIC card (required)
• Ability to follow technology advancements in NDT
• Must be able to follow directions and technical procedures
• Classroom training or OJT hours in Eddy Current (preferred)
• Positive, friendly personality with strong attention to detail
• No fear of heights or confined spaces
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clean criminal and financial records
• Able to pass drug and alcohol screenings at any and all times
• Able to pass a background investigation for unescorted access to secure facilities
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English.
• General computer skills
