Welding Equipment Supervisor
Job Description
Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the automatic welding equipment during offshore pipeline installation campaigns and the supervision of automatic welding electro-mechanical and electronic technicians.
In charge of mobilizing, installing, maintaining and repairing of Automatic Welding Equipment on offshore barges/ vessels.
Competencies
Solid knowledge of automatic pipeline welding equipment. Understanding and experience of work with mechanized P-GMAW and STT processes in 5G downhill position
Experience of work with internal line up clamps and pipe facing machines (setting and maintaining)
Technical knowledge in welding processes such as GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW for repair welding application
Ability to read and understand welding procedure specification
Working knowledge of welding codes such as AP1 1104, DNV OS-F 101, and BS 4515
Good standard of written and spoken English
Computer Literacy - Microsoft office
All offshore safety training requirements
Good report writing skills
Profile Description
Higher secondary (12 years schooling) or a discipline-specific technical qualification with 6 years of relevant experience
OR Secondary (10 years schooling) or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience
