Candidate Profile

• High-level technical training in chemical engineering or process engineering with, ideally, experience on an industrial site.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with internal and external partners, as well as to simultaneously conduct several studies by sharing results and knowledge.
• Scientific curiosity, sense of innovation and rigor in the management of studies, spirit of synthesis.
• Fluency in French and English

Activities

Within the Biofuels R&D program, OneTech is looking for a Biofuel R&D Process Engineer in a context of growing demand for renewable aviation fuels. The Company's ambition is to produce 1.5 million tons per year by 2030.

As a Biofuel Process R&D Engineer, your main missions are as follows:

• Coordinate the R&D aspects of the co-processing project for biolipid feedstocks in the Refining units and conduct specific studies for this project
• Study innovative biorefinery processes allowing increased production of sustainable aviation fuel

You will have a very wide range of activities of varied R&D and innovation activities in a very dynamic environment where you will have to demonstrate your pioneering spirit on a daily basis. In this context you will be required to:

• Participate in defining and carrying out research programs
• Identify and implement the best suited tools (experimental, collaborations) to meet the needs of these programs
• Define experimental programs and analyze the results generated
• Ensure a support role in your field with the various OneTech entities and industrial sites
• Carry out technological and scientific monitoring (university or cooperative research) in coordination with your team
• Propose and carry out exploratory research based on innovative ideas or concepts
• And when your activities are successful, you will file the patents that protect our industrial property. In 2023, 6 patents have been filed by your future team.

You will also need to deploy your managerial talents. In charge of a budget of around 1M, your objectives will be to:

• Ensure planning, monitoring of technical and budgetary implementation of studies under your responsibility
• Coordinate the multiple internal and external stakeholders involved in your projects
• Supervise interns and work-study students
