Candidate Profile

• High-level technical training in chemical engineering or process engineering with, ideally, experience in R&D.
• Knowledge of micro kinetic modeling would be a plus.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with internal and external partners, as well as to simultaneously conduct several studies and sharing results and knowledge.
• Scientific curiosity, sense of innovation and rigor in study management.
• Ideally, mastery of tools such as Aspen or Matlab.
• Fluency in French and English

Activities

Within the Biofuels R&D program, OneTech is looking for a Junior R&D Modeling Engineer in a context of growing demand for sustainable aviation fuels. The Company's ambition is to produce 1.5 million tons per year by 2030.

The position is based in Solaize (next to Lyon)

As a Junior R&D Modeling Engineer, your main missions are as follows:

Research and Development Activities: Development of micro kinetic models in close coordination with the experienced Senior R&D engineer.

Modeling:

• Develop and carry out experimental programs for pilot units to establish or develop models
• Analyze the results and data from the studies and write a summary
• Develop micro kinetic molecular models of bio processes
• Provide a support role to the experienced Senior R&D Modeling engineer.
• Ensure the transfer of know-how to the technical teams in charge of industrialization

Innovation:

• Technological and scientific monitoring in coordination with the Senior R&D Modeling engineer.
• Ensure the "industrial property" aspect of studies carried out through the filing of non discolsure agreements and patents

Management:

• Manage model development studies in support of the Senior R&D Modeling engineer
• Ensure the planning and monitoring of the implementation of studies under his responsibility

HSE: Implement the site's HSE management system for all of its activities

Training:

• Companion training with the Senior R&D Modeling engineer
• Multiple interactions with the academic world
