Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree in chemical engineering
  • Experience higher than 10 years as process engineer, ideally with an experience on hydrogen production by water electrolysis.
  • Experienced in development and/or engineering studies at different phases.
  • You master chemical engineering principles of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics, and their general application to process design.
  • You master thermodynamic modeling tools (PROII, Aspen Hysys, Unisim...) and the process design tools for equipment and flare sizing.
  • You are fluent both in French and English.

Activities

The Company is seeking a Specialty H2 & NH3 Process Studies Lead M/F within the Gas & Low Carbon department. Your primary role will be to contribute to the decarbonization of its assets by providing new molecules. To achieve this, you will conduct process development studies, comparative technology benchmark, develop innovative processes, and provide technical support to projects and operations. This cross-functional position will allow you to support the assets and projects of the Gas, Renewables & Power, Refining & Chemical, and Exploration & Production branches.

The position is based in Paris-La Défense.

Within the H2 & NH3 process team, your main activities include:

  • Supervising and validating hydrogen and ammonia process studies
  • Coaching and technical supervision of up to 2 process engineers
  • Challenge licensors or vendors offered technologies, clarify and compare their offers to provide technical recommendation,
  • Lead know-how capitalization on hydrogen production either by electrolysis or reforming, and production of ammonia or other hydrogen carriers.
  • Promote H2& NH3 team skills and expertise to clients within One Tech and within branches
  • Develop process tools and methods
  • Participate in technical reviews (HAZAN, HAZOP...)

You contribute to:

  • The technological RoadMap of the Industrial Hub on the development of high and medium Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) process technologies (technical assistance, new process and equipment qualification, new product value definition...)
  • to improving the skills, know-how and feedback of hydrogen and low carbon technologies for production of green/blue hydrogen, ammoniac synthesis, transport of hydrogen via LOHC or ammoniac and final use in power generation or mobility
