This is a paid internship in which the intern must be willing to work in office in our New York City office. Internship will start in May 2024.

Attentive Energy is looking for an Intern who wants gain practical experience, exposure to real world Offshore Wind projects, and have an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to a professional setting.
The Intern would bring additional support for on going projects, and a potential source of future talent.

- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with preferably relevant experience in the power system, renewable energy (offshore wind), and high-voltage transmission industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time
- Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and backgrounds
- Desire for electrical equipment at construction sites
- Desire in offshore wind engineering or power systems industries, generation, transmission and distribution
- Desire to evaluate and analyze cable studies designs
- Desire to evaluate and analyze HVDC and GIS (SF6) technologies
- Desire to evaluate and analyze power system models results and reports
- • Desire to evaluate and analyze the use of international electrical standards, RTO, and Utility codes/standards
- Self starter.
- Strong problem solving and analytical Skills.
- Effective communicator for collaborating with international multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to details in design and documentation.
- Time management and organizational abilities to meet project deadlines, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Activities
Day to Day Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate in strategic analysis of the RTO / ISO interconnection procedures, and transmission system
- Participate in managing interconnection requests, review NYISO / PJM study results
- Participate in reviews of onshore and offshore export cable, HVDC stations, and inter array cables, design, engineering, construction, installation and operation processes.
- Participate in meetings with Electrical package engineers and subject matter experts
- Participate in conferences and trainings related to the Offshore Wind Industry and the Attentive Energy Project
