Role Overview: Reporting directly to the Manager, Project Controls, the Lead Analyst will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to project execution scopes. This includes managing all aspects of Project Controls such as schedule, risk and cost analysis, baselining, variance analysis, forecasting, reporting, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:
\r\n
    \r\n
  • Ensure transparency, maintenance, and control of project schedule and cost.
  • \r\n
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare, track, and analyze project schedule, budget, and forecast.
  • \r\n
  • Monitor the performance of contractors regarding scope, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
  • \r\n
  • Advise on trends and risks impacting schedule, progress, and cost.
  • \r\n
  • Conduct site visits to support the site team and report any changes to scope, schedule, risk, and cost.
  • \r\n

Essential Duties:
\r\n
    \r\n
  • Provide commercial support to the division, including cost control, forecasting methods, and planning and scheduling practices.
  • \r\n
  • Develop reports on cash flow, forecasting, progress, earned value, financial status, change orders, and contingency.
  • \r\n
  • Analyze costs using earned value, percent complete, productivity rate, and burn rate.
  • \r\n
  • Track project cost, progress, trends, impacts, conflicts, changes, and risks.
  • \r\n
  • Advise the project team on schedule and cost trends, critical path changes, opportunities, risks, and recommend corrective action.
  • \r\n
  • Oversee project procurement, contracting, and contract administration activities.
  • \r\n
  • Work with schedulers to develop an integrated schedule.
  • \r\n
  • Evaluate contractor's contract and project control procedures to ensure compliance.
  • \r\n
  • Perform ad-hoc project analysis and support.
  • \r\n


Knowledge and Qualifications:
\r\n
    \r\n
  • Thorough knowledge of project controls functions, processes, and procedures in project management.
  • \r\n
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction costs, materials, and procedures in the energy industry.
  • \r\n
  • Proficiency in cost control functions, including budget development, cost analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • \r\n
  • Familiarity with computer-based financial and budget systems, PowerPoint for presentations, and advanced MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
  • \r\n
  • Knowledge and proficiency in CPM scheduling techniques.
  • \r\n
\r\n
Qualifications:
\r\n
    \r\n
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, or equivalent.
  • \r\n
  • MBA, PMP, and/or CCP credentials are a plus.
  • \r\n
  • Minimum 8 years of continuous experience in Project Controls, preferably in the energy industry.
  • \r\n
  • FERC experience and knowledge preferred.
  • \r\n
