JOB TITLE: Cost Estimator I

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborating with Estimating Manager and completing tasks as assigned
• Maintaining high quality standard of work with ability to explain actions undertaken
• Ensure compliance to Petrofac quality procedures and comply with accredited frameworks such as ISO 14001.
• Ability to absorb and assimilate information quickly from technical documents. Ability to identify and challenge where scope is incomplete. Skills in simplifying technical data and scope to build estimates with client focused work breakdown structure.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Typically Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Chemical or Civil Engineering with related experience working in engineering environment ideally in Concept / Detail Engineering or EPC Projects.
• Ability to use Technical Docs ie PFD, P&IDs, Datasheets and MELs.
• Evaluate technical and cost inputs.
• Keen level of financial awareness.
• Understanding importance of estimates in Project life cycle.
• Solid experience in using Excel (critical) and other Microsoft applications.
• Exposure to Energy transition projects like carbon capture, Hydrogen, Wind, Waste to energy etc is beneficial.
• Previous experience in compiling estimates useful.
• Attention to detail.
• Proactive approach.
• Good Communication skills.
• Team player
