JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for Senior Offshore Structural Designer; this role is to work on a project for an offshore windfarm substation, on a contract basis.

The initial role is to work on a Clean Energy project for an offshore windfarm substation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides Structural Design PDMS Modelling Expertise
• Defines Structural Offshore Structural deliverable requirements
• Supports the Project Structural Lead Engineer in accomplishing project objectives
• Provides project reports on Material and Weight
• Prepares and reviews engineering design drawings of various Offshore Structural Concepts
• Resolves Structural related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Civil Engineering experience
• Knowledge using E3D
• Experience in revelant industry sectors
• Willing to be part of a team, but also have a flexible approach when required to work in small groups
• Aptitude to extend working knowledge
• Co-operative attitude
