NOV is seeking Solids Control and Free Flow Technicians to Join our WellSite Services Group in Luanda Angola for Offshore jobs. The position requires to support operations in the field and make sure company's and customer goals and objective are achievable based on the contracts and operations requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved timely.
  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.
  • Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.
  • Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
  • Ability to operate NOV equipment as per procedures stated in the manual including but not limited to Centrifuges / Cuttings Dryers / Shale Shakers / Augers / Pumps / Waste Management Equipment
  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair drilling equipment such as:
    • Analog and digital PLC based systems.
    • Proprietary integrated control systems (Cyberbase, Amphion) if applicable
    • Variable Frequency Drives
    • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems
    • Electrical Systems (including various types of AC/DC motors)
    • Mechanical Systems (including fittings, gearboxes and bearings)
  • Provide training to other NOV personnel on aforementioned systems and equipment as needed.
  • Provide accurate and timely report(s) to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output.
  • Collaborate frequently with internal and external customers.
  • Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • To active participate in personal trainings as identified by NOV or Client
  • Report to check in desk of appropriate departure point when requested.
  • Report to company office as and when requested during normal working hours
  • Report to company office one week in advance via email or telephone prior to scheduled date of return to work.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Completion of technical training school or an equivalent background in a similar environment
  • 5-8 years' experience, or equivalent knowledge
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Comply with all QMS documentation pertaining to work related assigned responsibilities.
  • Valid Resident ID Cards (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Ensure all your required certificates are valid i.e. (Medical / HUET / Basic Offshore Survival / H²S) (or the ability to obtain one), if not company will provide, based on your experience and qualifications for the position.
