As an HR Business Partner based in Portlethen, you'll collaborate with internal clients across multiple sites, offering specialised support. Your expertise in HR partnering, along with your knack for building relationships and coaching managers, will be pivotal in achieving goals effectively. With the backing of NOV's Centres of Excellence, you'll strategise for key and high-potential employees, facilitating talent rotation. Your role involves equipping stakeholders with tools for effective people management, supporting projects, and enhancing cost-efficiency and service delivery through transformative advice and transactional support.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all employee relations cases, ensuring quality assurance, and risks are mitigated and carry out hearings
  • Use professional insight to identify people related opportunities, priorities, and potential risks with managers
  • Influence and challenge management to ensure solutions are applied in line with NOV policies and procedures
  • Support the HR Segment Manager with development, implementation of KPIs/Busines, People Strategy
  • Proactively work in partnership with management in conjunction with TA to ensure that the business is professionally resourced; numbers, quality, competencies, to achieve current and future business objectives (Headcount forecast)
  • Partner with middle management to identify potential business risks and support the HR Segment Manager with developments/implementation of risk mitigation plans e.g. operations meetings
  • Train, coach, and guide management in the development of working practices, working environment and culture e.g. redundancy
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in HR (desirable)
  • CIPD qualified (essential)
  • Chartered status CIPD (desirable)
EXPERIENCE

  • Working experience in a HR Business partner position or similar (essential)
  • Strong UK employment law background and HR Policy & Practice (essential)
  • Working in a matrix organisational structure (essential)
  • Experience in a multi-location work environment (desirable)
  • Oil & Gas/Services experience (desirable)
  • Understanding of the business and how it works and how HR adds value to the bottom line (desirable)
