JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Day to day inspection and reporting activities.
  • Work in accordance with ARM QMS and HSE procedures& policies.
  • Candidate must have been previously certified and experienced with performing MPI and LPI NDT Inspections including evaluating discontinuities and report writing.
  • Must have documented NDT classroom hours and minimum 5 years NDT experience with these two NDT disciplines.
  • Perform Brinell and Rockwell hardness tests on raw material and finished machined parts for comparison against Engineering specifications and purchase order requirements for acceptance.
  • Ensure the traceability of all parts required and documentation trail are in place.
  • Record and document traceable information which will be required to certify the manufacturing process, to the highest standards.
  • Interpret API standards and client requirements to ensure the relevant standards are met in relation to the product.
  • Accept, reject, or place on hold any item or operation where conformance to drawing, specification, contract and/or purchase order is not being accomplished and render an unbiased decision to accept or reject any material or component to mitigate any business risk.
  • Work with Document Control Team to complete any documentation required by customer, purchase order, or engineering specifications.
  • Perform other work-related task as assigned.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide verity of inspection and quality control operations in NDT, hardness, and dimensional, making necessary critical observations, tests, and completing appropriate documentation as required.
Education/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • NDT Level II for MPI and LPI
  • Minimum 5 years of dimensional experience
  • Experience performing hardness tests
The following are a plus:

  • NDT Level II for UT
  • AWS/CSWIP 3.1 minimum
  • NACE or BGas Certified Coating Inspector level II
Experience Required:

  • documented NDT classroom hours and minimum 5 years NDT experience with LPI and MPI
Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Good understanding of the Company Quality Management System
  • Strong skills in use of inspection and measuring equipment
  • Good computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skill: must be able to read, write, and speak English as it relates to the job
  • Organized, detailed and accurate in work assignments
