Your field of work:

• As an expert you are responsible for the design, implementation, documentation and verification of firmware modules with medium or high complexity for our embedded devices, starting with hardware selection up to system design.
• You analyze requirements and develop solutions at the edge of what is feasible.
• Your scope includes the creation of specifications and code for test and productive functions, modules or classes.
• You will also take over the maintenance, optimization and refactoring of existing source code
• The collaboration with and support of other teams inside R&D, Validation, Documentation and Application is essential.

Your profile - qualified

• You have a Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Automation technology or related discipline with strong software / firmware focus.
• A background and/or experience in the development of Software for embedded systems with hard real time aspects with focus on Servo Drives is necessary.
• You have a strong knowledge on Cyber Security in terms of security protocols (TLS), encryption (AES, RSA), key management (PKI, BYOE).
• Ideally you have experience with automation technologies and good knowledge of C++, C, for PC and Embedded Platforms, OOA, OOD, OOP, UML, Software Engineering (V-model, agile methods, Continuous Integration, Unit Testing).
• Experience on embedded systems with real-time requirements, incl real-time operating systems (e.g embedded Linux, freeRTOS, TI SysBios) is needed.
• You have a deep knowledge of Field busses (OPC UA TSN, PROFIBUS, ETHERNET/IP, PROFINET), SERCOS3, and Network Protocols (Ethernet, UDP, TCP/IP, ...).
• Experience in programming of ARM (A-Core) based processor platforms (e.g. TI Sitara or AMD Zynq UltraScale+) and with functional safety according to IEC 61508 is an advantage.
• English fluently in speaking, reading and writing completes your profile; German is an advantage.
