- Coaching and mentoring as delegated.
- Supervision of Graduate Engineers. Provides input to the performance management of direct reports.
- Actively progress towards Engineering Technician (IET).
- Manage and supervise direct reports.

- Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
- Deputizing for Principal as required.
- Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports.
- Executing assigned personal objectives
- Management of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery
- Agree personal career development plan with Head of E&I Design (E&I Design Focal point).
- Ensure personal performance management progress including continual professional development.
- Competency profile attainment against plan.
- Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with Engineering & Design Process and Procedures.
- Effective implementation of assigned IMPACT actions
Internal:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project/contract interfaces
- Engage with inter-discipline Community and promote Discipline including: Networking/knowledge sharing
External:
- Establishing and/or maintaining an awareness of external stakeholders including: Industry bodies, academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested)

Minimum Qualifications:
- HNC/HND Qualification
- Equivalent with relevant considerable experience
- Experience
- Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
- Safety by Design i.e. Understand and Apply Work Procedures and Practice, Compliance with Statutory Requirements, Discipline codes and standards
- Technical Core Skills i.e. Proficiency in Using AutoCAD, Proficiency in Using Microstation, Proficiency in Using 3D Plant Design (PDMS)
- Role Based Competencies - Instrument Design i.e. Read P & ID's, Identify Instrument Content & Prepare a System Block Diagram, Produce Instrument Hook Ups & Identify Appropriate Materials for Procurement
- Role Based Competencies - Electrical Design, i.e. Working Knowledge of Power Generation and Ability to Develop Single Line Diagrams, Understand Plant Equipment Earthing Requirements & Produce Drawings as Appropriate
- General Skills i.e. Offshore surveys, Workpack compilation, Offshore construction
