JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is looking for Iraqi local national Electrical and Instrument Engineer to join our team in Iraq Basra .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and approve subcontractor quality reports, plans and procedures.
  • Review and approve product /material requisitions and validate QC requirements.
  • Witness all stages of QC inspections as per ITP.
  • Provide Quality input to technical bid evaluations.
  • Review and approve necessary vendor and supplier documents including ITPs, procedures and reports, Manufacturing Record Books, etc.
  • Support delivery of the contract Assurance Programme.
  • Plan and partake in internal project and supplier audits.
  • Conduct Vendor and Supplier Qualification Evaluations.
  • Support in conducting root cause analysis of project nonconformities and technical incidents.
  • Attend project kick off meetings to provide QA/QC input.
  • Provide Quality support to in-country site-based engineering team.
  • Determine inspection level and requirements of product/material.
  • Experience in loop checking, instrumentats calibration; E&I panels power up, FAT, SAT & ISAT.
  • Support 3rd party inspection coordination process and review inspection reports and release notes
  • Review and approval of sub-constractor's and commissioning ITPs
  • Review construction and commissioning workpacks prior to site issue
  • Conduct review of project technical queries and standard deviation requests
  • Verify completeness of vendor and project documentation and Support implementation of quality continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the closure of Quality requirements for project close out.
  • Regular quality reporting as required and ensure the satisfactory reporting, tracking and closure of project NCRs and Preventive Actions.
  • Quality input to project lessons learned and risk management sessions
  • Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of the Company quality management system.
  • Ensure compliance of the Company management system with current and new legislation.
  • Supports Management review and prepares relevant data inputs.
  • Develop and execute contract quality programs in accordance with Contract and/or Projects Execution Plan arrangements.
  • Monitor Engineering, Procurement and Construction KPI's and act accordingly.
  • Supports the development of Audit schedules.
  • Executes audits in accordance with approved audit schedules.
  • Facilitates incident investigations.

Support in vendor and sub-contractor audits

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering (essential)
Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Quality Auditor Qualification by recognised industry body (essential)
  • Must be fully familiar with international codes & standards to be applied during Engineering and Procurement phase of projects
  • Minimum 10 years experience as QA/ QC Engineer managing Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom activities in major oil / gas projects.
  • Experience in Brown and Greenfield construction projects.
  • Previous experience in EPC projects.
  • EX Certfied
  • Brownfield and shutdown experience preferred.
  • Exposure to the Client Contracts desirable but not mandatory.
