RESPONSIBILITIES

Wood is looking to hire a Senior Project Engineer, an expat rotational role, based in Iraq on 28/28 rotation.

Primary Role:

• To deliver specific work packages within budget and on schedule
• To lead the team and direct work as required
• To manage related procurement activities
• To ensure that the work scopes are delivered to meet the asset operational needs.
• To participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary.
• To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
• To drive interface management, liaising with the Client's Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
• To promote safe behaviour at all times.

Principal Responsibilities:

• To ensure that own actions plus those of the project team are conducted in accordance with the HSE management system.
• To have single point responsibility for the efficient delivery of work scopes within schedule, cost, and quality standards.
• To develop the project Scope of Work in order to define the required deliverables.
• To be responsible for the management of all project reporting, interface definition and management, plus liaison with team members
• To ensure that technical integrity is fully maintained and that all deviations to project standards/procedures are formally recorded and approved.
• To be responsible for highlighting and resolving project issues at the earliest opportunity.
• To exercise control over manpower and material resources in order to complete the project within budget, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements.
• To promote a planning - execute - measure - feedback methodology in project engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)
• Membership of a recognized professional institute preferred
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in design, construction, and general project delivery in the oil and gas industry
• Strong project engineering experience
• High knowledge in brownfield
• Highly skilled in working in life plant, working with ASSET, PTW, electrical system
• TA3 electrical is an advantages
• Knowledge of plant electrical systems is required
• Highly skilled in managing specialized vendors packages such as Siemens, ABB and Schnider
• Deep experience in brownfield experience and limitation of BF experience
• Experience in gas plant design and maintenance
• Experience in managing variations and contract
• Experience in contractor mobilization and contractor management at site.
• Experience in SHELL DEP is an advantage
• Arabic specking is an advantage
• Welling to work in hardship location
• Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills
