JOB DESCRIPTION

Will you help our clients unlock the solutions they need to their complex technical challenges that are foundational in addressing the needs of a growing world?

Through this highly rewarding role you will be shaping the world and creating a bright future for yourself.

Wood is currently recruiting for a pre-FEED focused Principal Consultant to join our Onshore Oil and Gas (O&G) Processing consulting team based in Reading. The position will be based in our Reading office, on a hybrid basis.

The Role

This is a fantastic role for a process engineer with a real passion for shaping projects while making a difference in the Energy Security and Energy Transition sectors.

Specifically, this role is for an experienced Process Engineer with a proven track record of delivering upstream onshore oil and gas studies/projects. The role will report to the Manager of Onshore O&G Processing within the Reading Process Consulting group.

The Onshore O&G Processing business line executes feasibility, concept and PreFEED studies - covering upstream production systems and processing facilities (such as GOSPs, Gas Processing Plants, NGL fractionation plants etc). The role can be also expected to include Field Development Planning.

In addition to execution of Energy Security projects, this role will also include delivery of the energy transition (including Carbon Capture & Storage, Blue/Green Hydrogen & Ammonia) either as part of an upstream project or through supporting other business lines within our Reading Consulting Business.

As an experienced engineer, with a strong appreciation of process design and an interest in the holistic aspects of Greenfield and Brownfield projects, you will continue to grow your career through taking technical and design responsibility for delivering pre-FEED phases of project implementation (pre-feasibility, concept, feasibility, pre-FEED etc).

As a Principal Consultant you will provide technical direction and technology expertise within Technical Consulting and the wider Wood organisation relating to the preparation of proposals and execution of studies and projects relating to onshore upstream projects. You will be expected to stand-in as deputy for the Study Manager or perform the role of Study Manager on smaller contracts.

Focusing on technical project delivery you will be a key member across project teams to develop the technoeconomic solution that guides your client to successfully achieve the next stage in their decision gate process.

You will interface with a multi-disciplinary team of highly capable SME's and Consultants to deliver best in class solutions that will ensure high customer satisfaction.
