Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following:
CORE FUNCTION
Developing Written Schemes of Examination/Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) as part of inspection preparations
Completing First Pass examinations of equipment to accurately identify preparation for inspection and NDT requirements
Planning and carrying out NDT inspection of plant and pipework in compliance with Client request/s and workscopes across all certified methods
Verifying the application of NDT methods for vessel and pipework inspection and informing NDT personnel of requirements
Specifying NDT techniques, where necessary, to maximise the use of non-invasive inspection techniques where possible
Inspecting all:
o process pressure systems
o storage tanks
o steam generation plant
o decommissioned and/or out of service equipment
o steel structures
in compliance with Company and Client procedures
Raising repair orders and corrective MMS work orders when required, providing a detailed description of the
defect and location together with relevant up-to-date documentation and photographic evidence
Carrying out repair order close out inspections when required
Issuing interim reports of examination, stating the suitability for further service
Completing inspection reports with required detail (e.g. recommended/required actions, next period of service between inspections etc.) within acceptable timeframes
Modifying the Written Scheme based on inspection findings
Informing the Senior Inspection Engineer, without delay, when any inspected equipment or NDE results indicate the item is not fit-for-service
Reviewing and endorsing NDT reports in a timely manner, instigating inspection queries as required
Conducting Toolbox Talks for all visiting Inspection/NDT personnel provided for specific jobs
Maintaining a thorough and detailed record of daily activities
Maintaining up-to-date assigned Logs/Registers in accordance with Company and Client procedures
General
The list of job duties described above is not exclusive or exhaustive and the employee may be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the job;
Assist with any other duties as and when required; and
Undertake specific projects as instructed by Management.

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment;
Promote a strong HSE culture at all times;
Ensure that personnel identify with and achieve, the necessary Health and Safety performance standards associated with the relative risks to personnel and plant in their environment and daily work;
Ensure that business and HSE risk implications of integrity issues are clearly identified and assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Integrity Management Team and communicated to the Client;
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications and Training
Degree/Diploma in Engineering related discipline (desirable)
AICIP Inspector Certificate or API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector or CSWIP Plant Inspector Level II
Minimum of NDT Level I in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and any other discipline (desirable)
TBOSIET
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
Experience
A minimum of 5 year's experience in similar role
Experience within the inspection/integrity arena
Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry (desirable)
Experience working effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as peers, staff groups (outside the formal line of authority), senior management, external vendors etc.
Required Skills and Aptitudes
Demonstrated communication skills - written, verbal and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others
Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving
Demonstrated working knowledge of design, manufacture, metallurgy, welding, codes, standards, risk assessments and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with the Client and/or contractor at various levels of seniority
Knowledge of safety standards (e.g. Step Back 5x5, JSEA, HSEQ systems etc.)
