About the Job

1. Detail Engineering

• Preparation and checking of Instrument drawings- Instrument cable block diagram, Instrument Location layout drawing, Control room Layout drawing, Instrument wiring diagram, Loop Diagram, Instrument Hook-up Diagram, MCT drawing, Cable routing and trench layout drawings, Bill Of Materials, Instrument Earthing Diagram, System Architecture diagram, Cause & Effect Diagram, Functional Logic Diagram, Level sketches.
• Preparation and checking of Instrument schedule, Cable schedule, System Input/Output list, Alarm & Trip Schedule
• Inputs to deliverables by various other departments- Input to Cable Trench layout, Input to offshore oil production platform layouts, Input to offshore platform structural weight control report, Input to electrical power consumption list for Instrumentation, Input to air consumption and utility report.
• Inter-discipline review of deliverables from other departments-P&ID, Plot plan, Piping GA drawings, Equipment layouts, Electrical single line diagrams, HVAC duct layouts, Hazardous area classification drawings, F&G Layout drawings, F&G C&E Diagram
• Input to 3D modelling, extraction to 2D and 3D model review
• Input to INtools and report generation
• Technical review of offers for Instrument Bulk items
• Vendor drawing review for instruments & packages
• Data retrieval, Site survey & site survey reports generation
• Response to Site technical queries, Site commissioning Support
• Secondment to Client office (If required)

2. Experience

• Feasibility study, FEED, Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering with reputed detailed Engineering Contractors.
• Oil & Gas projects, Offshore
• On Shore instrumentation- Design and selection of Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature measuring elements, Transmitters, Control valve, ESD Valve, Partial stroking system, Blowdown valves, MOV, Tank gauging system, PRV, PCV, Foundation fieldbus, Serial Communication, Fiber optic communication, F&G Instruments, Bulk Materials
• Selection of Instruments for Hazardous area application, Instrument signal grouping
• Off shore special instrumentation- WHCP, ICSS, RTU, SCADA, DHG, MPFM, Hydraulic Power Unit, Choke valve, Sub-sea Umbilical cable.

• Control and Safety Systems (DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G)
• International standards applicable for Instrumentation like AGA, API, ASME, ASTM, BS, IEC, IEEE, ISA, ISO, NACE, NFPA
• Familiarization with Client standards-SHELL DEP, QP, TOTAL, NOC, QATARGAS

3. Specific skills required

• ACAD & Microstation
• SPI (Intools)- Minimum 1 project independently.
• AVEVA Instrumentation- Minimum 1 project independently (Nice to have)
• 3D (E3D & SP3D) Modelling- Minimum 1 project independently.
• Offshore site survey as part of detailed engineering.
• Brown field and Green field Oil & Gas projects detailed engineering
• Experience working with MNC companies for detailed engineering.

4. Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation

5. Responsibilities Reports functionally to the Lead Discipline Engineer and is responsible for Plan and execute the design work in order to meet the project schedule.

• Input to weekly progress reports and maintains manhour log.
• Maintains records of Quality check prints and Master copy for Quality Audits
• Definition of tasks and supervision of personnel such as designers and draftsmen assigned to the team, including checking of drawings produced.
• Checking and commenting on drawings issued by other disciplines as well as Vendor drawings wherever applicable.
• Co-ordination within and with other disciplines
