As a Structural Project Manager specializing in civil structures, you will oversee and drive projects focused on bridges, tunnels, and other major civil engineering works. You will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring technical excellence.
- Project Leadership: You will lead, motivate, and manage a project team comprising structural engineers, geotechnical experts, and draftsmen. You will work closely with other teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Design Oversight: You will be responsible for the structural design of civil works (concrete, steel, timber, etc.), from conceptual design through to execution, with a focus on infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, and complex civil structures.
- Project Management: Ensure that all aspects of your projects-budget, scope, timing, and quality-are delivered to the highest standards. You will monitor and report on progress, ensuring compliance with our quality system and health & safety regulations.
- Client Engagement: You will respond to client needs with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You will prepare and present proposals, offers, and contracts in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Integrated Approach: Enhance an integrated design process by coordinating across different disciplines, ensuring holistic solutions.
- Mentorship: Actively contribute to the development and training of young engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work constructively with external partners such as architects, engineering consultancies, subcontractors, and contractors during the construction phase to deliver sustainable and efficient solutions.
- Innovation & Standards: Stay abreast of the latest standards, guidelines, and developments in civil engineering, sharing knowledge and best practices with your team.
Your profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in projects related to complex infrastructures (bridges, tunnels, roads, airports, etc.).
- You have a proven track record of involvement in all project phases: design, studies, tender, execution, and management.
- You are experienced in competitive bidding, including conceptual design, cost estimation, and fee negotiation.
- You excel in managing multidisciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders under time and budget constraints.
- You possess strong communication skills and are a collaborative team player.
- You are client-oriented, solution-driven, and adaptable.
- You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a professional command of English.
- You are prepared to work with teams in our different regional offices (Ghent, Brussels and Hasselt) and cooperate with our office in Romania.
