Job Summary:

The position entails the development and optimization of a long-term equipment strategy for Analyzers, provision of technical engineering support, monitoring of asset performance, and ensuring the effective execution of work processes. It also involves providing technical support for analyzer automation and applications, as well as supporting production by offering expertise related to installed Analyzers and analyzer-related control systems to ensure reliable operation and drive company objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a required improvement study in the Analyzer System discipline, taking into account chronic issues, repeated failures, obsolescence, and necessary improvements. Make recommendations for identified improvements.
  • Conduct regular audits on installed and functional Analyzer systems and coordinate efforts to address any findings to ensure trouble-free service.
  • Participate in MOC or project commissioning to ensure changes are implemented according to plant reliability requirements.
  • Monitor and initiate timely improvements for Analyzer system life cycle management.
  • Lead or participate in RCA related to assigned plant issues to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. Also, participate in Plant HAZOP Review.
  • Hold scheduled meetings with various vendors to ensure long-term support for installed equipment and to propose timely enhancements to prevent surprises.
  • Ensure necessary SMPs exist for various types of analyzer systems and have clear PM/CM strategies in place. Develop new SMPs as needed and necessary CM strategies.
  • Review and advise on required spare parts levels to ensure equipment availability and reduce downtime.


Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Analyzer Systems in Oil & Gas Plants/Refineries/Petrochemical Plants
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with inter-departments, and demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.


Job Specific Skills:
  • Experience in Analyzer systems (online & offline analyzers/GCs and related control systems), including a clear understanding of hardware/programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Analyzer system design, Instrument integrity analysis, and instrument selection based on the required international standards.
