C-level / Executive- Monitor, control and report Contractor's performance, man-power deployment, plant and equipment's movements, construction slippages etc.
- Coordinate with EPIC Contractor during the execution of Instrumentation, F&G, DCS, ESD and Telecom related construction activities at offshore construction site in Halul and Production Stations.
- Conduct daily and weekly meeting with Contractors involving all discipline supervisors, QA/QC Inspectors and HSE advisors and address/resolve issues hindering progress.
- Act as the construction Risk Management representative to identify Construction Risk events, the effects & consequences, propose mitigation measures and take ownership to ensure mitigation measures have been implemented at site.
- Review and forward to management daily and weekly construction progress reports for assigned projects and verify contractor's progress statements for accuracy.
- Liaise with senior discipline engineers throughout all phases of the project for all construction related matters including inputs during the detailed engineering and procurement stages.
- Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material requisitions, material receipt inspection etc.
- Participate and provide inputs during the SAT, FAT, IFAT and performance test.
- Review contractors' construction plans, schedules, method statements, procedures including offshore logistics.
- Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including material testing and inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractor and processing documentation as required.
- Check and ensure that all construction works are completed in accordance with approved standards and consistent with contract specifications.
- Coordinate and participate the MCC walk through, review and approve the red line mark-up drawings pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractor, vendors and end users.
- Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Reports to Head, Construction work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and control of work permits to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits.
- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to offshore sites following the contract award.
- Interact and interface with other contractors, projects, departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction related matters especially liaison with Production and Maintenance departments.
- Participate in bid review and provide inputs on Tender document, drawings, method statements, construction execution schedule etc. from E&I discipline.
- Under the general supervision of Head, Construction; initiate decisions on the project issues within the framework of respective contract documents, Procedures/guidelines, in close coordinate and concurrence with the project team.
- Takes responsibility for all matters outside of normal working hours during construction phases of the project.
- Accountable for efficiently managing site construction activities leading to construction, pre-commissioning in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Higher National Diploma (HND), Diploma in Diploma in Instrumentation and/or Electrical and/or Mechanical from a recognized University with extensive commissioning experience of Oil & Gas projects. Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.
- A minimum of eight to ten (10 to 12) years' experience in relevant construction and installation activities in projects of oil & gas industry.
- Good knowledge in telemetry installation and commissioning.
- Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems, processes and standards.
- Understanding of construction techniques for various types of work especially the construction and commissioning activities in brown fields and Well Head Jackets.
- Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.
- Exposure to works by associated disciplines
- Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness.
- Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings.
- Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.
- Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.
