Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible to provide purchase materials according to required tech-nical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Electrification business area based in Cairo, Egypt (10th Ramadan) You will be mainly accountable for: • Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team, qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists, designing and implementing plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets • Supporting regional and global sourcing initiatives as required, working for GBS centers, sup-porting specific assigned tasks related to sourcing, like e-sourcing activities, negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing pricelists, terms and conditions • Analyzing and evaluating bids in order to determine the optimal value, supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information, initiating Purchase Orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements • Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues, aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures /project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price • Ensuring the SAP Ariba platform is updated as defined in the procedure, applying and implementing PL standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability, creating and updating reports, as required, following the ABB standards • Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs, recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval, conducting all Procurement & Logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures • Ensuring Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as de-fined in ABB Tools procedure, ensuring integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities, implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies and processes in their assigned area • Demonstrating an understanding of ABB Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting and risks, executing effective and transparent communication internally & externally and between different units and centers.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 of experience in relevant field Certified Procurement & SC is preferable Procurement & SC experience is a privilege
- Knowledge of industrial sector preferable to be electrical
- Fluency in both English & Arabic language is mandatory
