Your role and responsibilities

Motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones Ensuring compliance to standard ABB internal directives and procedure, relevant cyber security regulations, standards, and contractual requirements Identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risk, and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer, all in accordance with the contract Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders Creating project HSE Plans and ensures that common HSE policies and reporting are implemented across the project with all stakeholders, including collaboration/consortium partners and sub-suppliers Defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with OTD impact

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • JLPT N1 level in Japanese Language
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Project manager experience in architecture, machinery, and plants (site management experience)
  • AUTO CAD experience (mechanical design experience)
  • 5+ years of work experience in a product service function is preferred
  • B to B service and support experience preferred
  • Customer account management experience preferred
  • English language is plus
  • Able to work or travel, including weekends and holidays
