Your role and responsibilities
Creates, documents, and maintains written procedures and guidelines for export control and sanctions, as well as customs compliance requirements. Provides periodic updates to the relevant stakeholders on the status of the local implementation of ABB's Global Trade Program and significant changes in export control and customs laws/regulations. Implements and maintains a general export control and customs compliance awareness program for local business staff and provides trade-related training to employees (particularly in cases of delegated export control responsibilities). Facilitates seamless connection between trade compliance and day-to-day operations, including master data requirements, supplier qualifications, etc., in collaboration with staff in the assigned area. Provides oversight, "big-picture" policy advisory, and practical guidance to local business(es) regarding export control and customs compliance, vital for daily in-and-outbound operations, including formal documentation and archiving requirements. Ensures that trade compliance records are maintained. Conducts local trade reviews and/or annual "self-audits" with respect to trade compliance, identifies improvement areas, and takes corrective actions. Provides hands-on assistance for specific import/export transactions to ensure processes, documentation, etc., align with trade regulations. Develops, implements, and uses an efficient (communication) platform to drive trade compliance. Communicates trade compliance updates and promotes general awareness of trade compliance within the assigned area.

Qualifications for the role
- Knowledge expertise in customs work, Trade Compliance and Incoterms.
- Ability to work closely with different customs services and keep an eye on the operational functioning
- Demonstrate precision and data accuracy
- Fluent in French and English.
- Good relationship with internal and external financial and administrative departments
- Demonstrate administrative skills with handling of commercial and tax claims files

- Bachelor's degree (Foreign trade, international business,..)
- International Experience of minimum 5 years
