This position reports to
R&D/Technology Manager
Your role and responsibilities
• Project Team Leadership: Lead and support local and cross-functional project teams, including associate R&D project managers. Motivate and monitor internal and/or external resources to accomplish all committed targets, fostering a positive team environment, technical excellence, and continuous attention to quality. • Effective Communication: Ensure objectives, priorities, key decisions, and status are effectively communicated to all stakeholders. • Project Management: Accountable for the end-to-end planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned projects. • Value Management: Ensure team understanding of customer value in the projects and act to ensure customer satisfaction and manage stakeholder expectations. • Project Execution and Control: Ensure that project activities are effectively prioritized, estimated, and planned. Monitor and control progress towards plan to ensure achievement of commitments and targeted milestones. Resolve issues, conflicts, and impediments at the appropriate level, escalating as required. • Regular Communication: Provide regular and open communication to the steering committee and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and awareness of progress and issues. • Risk and Uncertainty Management: Ensure transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events, and identified risks. • Sound Methodology: Ensure projects follow sound methodology and execution practices, aligned with the desired development model (e.g., predictive/waterfall, iterative/agile, hybrid) and in accordance with applicable ABB internal directives and procedures. • Tools and Processes: Ensure adherence to internal and external standards that influence activities and targets, implementing appropriate project management tools to manage and optimize execution and value delivery.

Qualifications for the role
- Passion for Project Management: Demonstrated passion for leading projects and teams.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and promote collaboration across functions.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or project management, preferably in a technical field. A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field is preferred.
- Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in both English and French is required to communicate with the clients.
- Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Agile methodologies.
