As Head of Turbine & Park Performance (f/m/d) you will be responsible for developing a large global team focusing on optimizing our Turbine & park performances from early bid phase to long term asset ownership. You will facilitate an environment where innovated new solutions and methods are being developed to ensure RWE stays at the front of the Offshore race. You will use your collaborative approach to foster a cross functional development environment, by involving the full value chain ensuring the best possible LCOE. Given the technical complexity of the area will it be supported by two Chief Engineer.

As Head of Turbine & Park Performance (f/m/d) you will be responsible for developing a large global team focusing on optimizing our Turbine & park performances from early bid phase to long term asset ownership. You will facilitate an environment where innovated new solutions and methods are being developed to ensure RWE stays at the front of the Offshore race. You will use your collaborative approach to foster a cross functional development environment, by involving the full value chain ensuring the best possible LCOE. Given the technical complexity of the area will it be supported by two Chief Engineer.
Your Responsibilities:
- Leading a global organization according to RWE Essential Behaviours and give professional guidance in their activities such as:
- Technical specification and equipment configuration of all remote sensing device and masts as well as data management support and guidance
- Determination of layouts including optimization, energy yield calculations and production estimates
- Evaluation of wake effect, availability, electrical wind turbine performance, environment, and curtailments in cooperation with chiefs and lead experts
- Facilitating key engineering decisions during development, construction, and operations to ensure maximum value delivery
- Set out measurement strategy and specifications to gain a proper understanding of the site-specific wind conditions and lead to a robust production assessment in cooperation with chiefs and lead experts
- Leading project related technical discussions in WTG technology and Resource Assessment area
- Providing direction and guidance to the team and act as the Point of Contact for internal stakeholders
- Responsible for tool development within Offshore Engineering to scale up in-house developed solutions on an appropriate data management platform and with robust user interface
- Ensure to bring departmental challenges and solutions to the attention of the Board and your immediate peers
- Work closely with the Chief Scientist and Chief WTG Engineering for future technology roadmap, project development and stakeholder management
Your Profile:
- Relevant educational degree and 10-15 years of Offshore Wind knowledge
- Extensive leadership experience a technical environment of which 5 years contained lead through leaders in a global matrix organization
- Experienced in working with expert teams with knowledge and skills outside their core competence
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Readiness to travel internationally on a regular basis
- Strategic thinking and 360° overview of Wind Turbine and Wind Farm Technology (incl. Performance and Yield Assessment)
- Ability to deal with competing interests and conflicts, committed to speak-up culture
- Holistic, innovative, and out-of-the-box mindset.
