This position reports to

Global Head of Sales

Your role and responsibilities

Metallurgy is a part of Process Industries, a business unit within ABB's Process Automation division. The unit delivers electromagnetic stirring solutions (EMS) and metallurgical improvements that increase productivity, end product quality and reduce operating costs for electric arc furnace and ladle furnace operation, thick and thin slab casting, as well as aluminium furnaces. Sales of ABB Metallurgy products in LATAM region incl. planning negotiation scenarios, pricing tactics, product positioning, final negotiations etc. Pro active customer visits for presentations, technical discussions, metallurgical benefits and ROI discussion. Co ordinate with Centre of Excellence for Metallurgy products in Sweden for offers, metallurgical warranties etc. for submission to customer in the region. Responsible for driving opportunities, internal and external reviews on opportunities, decks preparation, representation from sales standpoint. Establishing and owning the plans and strategies aimed at serving the installed base and expanding the customer base in Metallurgy products. Deeply analysing customer's specifications and proposing technical solution in coordination with technology suppliers or OEMs.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering its necessary. (Metallurgical, Material or Electrical).
  • Solid experience with end to end B2B process sales.
  • Experience from the Metals or Aluminium industry, either on plant level or in an OEM.
  • Metallurgical experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of commercial and legal terms and project risk management.
  • Knowledge in steel making process is desirable.
  • Avaiability to frequent travels (local and international).
  • Advanced/Fluent English is necessary. Spanish is desirable.
