Role Overview

Reporting to the Lead Cost Engineer the Senior Cost Engineer will control the delivery of Project Controls for multiple or large and complex scopes. They will also provide support and guidance to the Project Manager in addition to adding value to Project Controls function.

Role Responsibilities will include:

• Project setup in ERP, including tasks, bill rates, key members, etc.
• Entering funding agreements/Purchase Orders and updating projects as necessary.
• Revenue Baselining to allow revenue accrual.
• Project maintenance to correct hours, rates, costs, funding, etc. as required
• Creation of Lump Sum and Software billing events.
• Troubleshooting Projects where no revenue is accrued and updating as necessary.
• Preparation of monthly draft Invoices for Projects and liaising with project managers to ensure sales invoices are issued for all projects.
• Produce cost reports, financial analyses, forecasts, ad hoc reports etc. as necessary for both internal and external users in line with company procedures.
• Follow up reimbursable transactions to ensure all costs are invoiced to clients.
• Ensure timely close out of projects.
• Alert/Assist the project manager on the project.

Candidate profile

• Relevant degree or equivalent.
• Specialist in cost and with a strong understanding of other Project Control elements
• Previous experience in Cost Control and/or Project Controls environment
• Previous cost control experience within the energy or oil & gas sectors
• Experienced in supporting multiple and complex projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with the capability to cooperate in a team working environment.
• Demonstrable capacity to work under pressure
