Tasks & responsibilities

• Reviews and approves completion /stimulation/testing/clean-up and WO programs prepared by completion Engineer.
• Supervises on a daily basis any completion, work over, testing or well servicing activity conducted in MOO fields.
• Liaises and coordinate with the drilling superintendent, drilling engineers and fluid superintendent during Completion/well servicing and clean up phases.
• Reviews the HSE Audits organised by the HSE & Methods Coordinator, ensure the operations are carried out efficiently with according to MOO HSE rules and best practices.
• Evaluates operational performances, studies, proposes and implement solutions in view of their improvement.
• Reviews and improves technical specifications of completion/well servicing/testing and WO equipment to be used, keep abreast of new techniques and equipment with manufacturer and service companies.
• Performs specific studies related to future phase development such as artificial gas lift, subsea equipment for Offshore, stimulation and re-entry techniques for Onshore and Offshore MOO wells.
• Anticipates needs for equipment (LLIs) and apply QA/AC.
• Analyses services companies and WO contractor performances (KPIs, ALIs).
• Validates the daily well servicing/completion and WO reports & end of well completion and WO reports and all required standard technical report. Review weekly, monthly and annual reports related to these activities.
• Supervises preparation and ensure the updating of the standing instructions (SDI) related to well servicing and WO operations and prepares the implementation of the procedures for all specific equipment.
• Supervises CFTs and ensures contract extensions for all well services related to contracts.
• Analyses services companies and drilling contractor performances (KPIs, ALIs), review DIP and benchmarks
• Reviews the training program (Technical, HSE and software skills) prepared by the HSE & Methods Engineer for the entier Drilling and completion department. Ensures the long term development of Libyan nationals.
• Reviews and approves yearly budget prepared by Engineer.

Focal point for new technology, organises and prepares workshop with Owners.

• Replaces the Drilling Manager when on leave.

• Understanding of modelling techniques and methods. Such using Landmark & Pipe Sim & Prosper
• Knowledge of HR policy and labour law

Qualifications / experience required

• Education: BSc. Petroleum engineering or demonstrate high level of technical knowledge in the well service
• Experience: a minimum of 15 years’ experience in drilling and Well Services operations.
• Required competencies: good working knowledge of API, IWCF standardization.
• Good experience of deal with LANDMARK, Pipe Sim & Prosper design software
