## Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, and self-motivated individual to join our UK development team as a Senior Project Developer.

You will be responsible for managing sites from our existing, multi-GW pipeline of solar and BESS projects through to Ready to Build and supporting the mid and late stage development of newly originated solar and BESS projects. This is a senior, hands-on development role which will involve working closely with other departments within the company as well as our landowners, consultants and other stakeholders.

We are ideally looking for candidates who can spend a significant amount of time in our Bristol office but we are happy to discuss more flexible arrangements on a case-by-case basis. Occasional travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays, will also be required.

We envisage the role being full-time but will consider part-time or job-share applications on a case-by-case basis. The position reports to the UK Head of Development and offers the opportunity to coach/mentor junior members of the development team as well as long term career growth prospects.

## Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly manage the development of solar and BESS projects
- Work closely with our internal grid, planning and development support teams to ensure sites are progressed through the pipeline and de-risked
- Liaise with landowners, grid network operators and planning authorities
- Ensure the development tools (e.g., project trackers and risk registers) are populated and updated regularly
- Report updates/progress and any material issues to the UK Head of Development weekly
- Help find new ways to unlock projects with technical, political or planning challenges
- Mentor and support junior members of the UK development team
- Support the origination team to help ensure a constant flow of projects through the development pipeline
- Work closely with the UK Head of Development and others in the organisation to stay abreast of the latest policy/regulation developments and advise how these could impact scheme delivery
- Support project sales processes or the transfer of projects to third-party investors or into construction

## Skills & Experience
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the UK solar and BESS project development process, risks, pitfalls and mitigations (Essential)
- Specific knowledge of later-stage development processes including handover to construction teams or project sales (Desirable)
- Knowledge of other technologies such as wind or hydrogen (Desirable)
- Hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines (Essential)
- Willingness to get stuck into a range of varied tasks and projects (Essential)
- Good problem-solving skills, able to think around challenges and propose creative new solutions (Essential)
- Self-motivated and able to manage own workload and clearly communicate progress (Essential)
- Experience speaking and negotiating with key project stakeholders on the phone and in person (Essential)
- Well-organised and process-orientated with good attention to detail (Essential)
- Collaborative attitude, looking to help and support colleagues across the organisation (Essential)
- Proven ability to work and communicate with remote colleagues (Desirable)
- Commercial awareness and acumen (Desirable)

- Experience using Google Sheets and other G-Suite software (Desirable)

## Salary
Highly competitive salary package including a long-term incentive package (LTIP).

## Location
Our head office in central Bristol (BS1 4ND) plus remote working.
