The Opportunity: As the Substation Engineering Manager, you will:

• Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians
• Manage diverse and challenging projects
• Oversee design quality, budget, and schedule
• Support client interactions, proposals, and business development

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage budget, schedule, and quality across multiple disciplines
• Handle project changes with the client and project manager
• Coordinate multiple discipline activities; may serve as engineer of record
• Develop relationships with project leadership, design teams, and support staff
• Communicate client interests to project team members
• Support business development and pursuit activities
• Travel occasionally for site visits, design reviews, and client meetings
• Ensure compliance with client and industry standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing EPC or design services for substation and switchyard projects
• Five years of experience in substation design with technical knowledge of major equipment
• Good communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and standards
• Working knowledge of procurement and contract administration
• P.E. License highly preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Typical office environment with a hybrid work schedule
• Travel to client sites as needed
