This position reports to

National Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

• Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business. • Based on a strong understanding of the assigned territory and industry segments, grow sales and market share of our robot product and automation offer, with a focus on new customer development in Estern Canada general industry market. • Take initiative in developing sales strategies for territory and key accounts and lead the continuous implementation of the defined strategy • Manage existing accounts and identify and develop relationship with prospective accounts and their decision makers • Develop and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline, providing monthly sales forecast and update on activities, accounts, and opportunities through the active use of Salesforce • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets and demonstrate technical expertise and product knowledge to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment. • Close collaboration with a team of highly experienced sales professionals and strong application specialists. • Prepare sales information and effective proposals for customers. Effectively present and communicate bids. Negotiate value, address resistance when demonstrated and close the sale.

Qualifications for the role

  • A degree in either a technical or commercial discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an account manager with a strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical products selling to both end users and system integrators
  • Experience of robot automation and motion control and their application in the Canadian manufacturing industry is a definite asset
  • Solid understanding of customers' processes and needs in various industry segments such as automotive and the emerging electrical vehicle supply chain, metal fabrication, plastics, construction and education.
  • Creative thinker with commercial focus, good technical understanding and results orientation;
