Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification distribution solutions division, in the Purchasing department of Spain. Main stakeholders are the division Project Managers and Order Management team, as well as Factories. You will be mainly accountable for: • Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements. • Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions. • Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval. • Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value. You will join a dynamic, robust and mature team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly skilled in Microsoft office and SAP ERP, and have knowledge of the Electrical Market.
• You have 2-3 years of experience doing purchasing or back office tasks, through an Industrial Channel Company.
• You are highly adept in SAP ERP, Microsoft Office and Cbol.
• You are passionate about Cbol and SFDC.
• Administrative degree (vocational degree, or high level).
• You are at ease communicating fluently, both in Spanish and English.
• You hold current Spanis work permit, as well as availability to work in a hybrid mode in our offices in Sant Qurize del Vallés (60% - 2 days in the office/3 days at home.
