Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a project controller that will help us shape a sustainable maritime future. Your role and responsibilities will be: • Review financial, commercial and tax aspects of the project during tender phase including verification of tender calculation, cash-flow planning, opportunity and risk evaluation. • Set up and maintain projects in SAP. Ensure billing according to the contract and timely payment. • Prepare and continuously review the project financial plan (including billing plan, cost to complete, revenue recognition plan, etc.) and prepare the rolling forecast of all financial KPIs of the project. • Drive the optimization of project result and cash flow together with the Project Manager. • Oversee currency risk, initiate foreign currency contracts (hedging), bonds and guarantees. • Participate in Project Reviews. Ensure project information in SAP and Project Review application is updated. • Identify improvement opportunities in financial processes. • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, business specific finance directives and instructions.

Qualifications for the role

  • We believe you have a bachelor- or master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Preferably, you have some years of professional experience and a strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools, however candidates fresh from school with relevant education are also encouraged to apply.
  • To be successful in this role, you would need strong communication skills and a customer focused approach, together with the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities. Your attitude and drive are as important for us as your grades.
  • You like to use your analytical skills and to contribute to knowledge sharing within and between departments. Fluent English is a requirement as well as cultural awareness and mutual respect - we have an international workplace and business where we have colleagues and customers with diverse background and nationality.
