- Developing new and modifying existing SCADA applications, programs, and scripts using C, C#, PowerShell, and VB code in MS Windows and Linux Server environments.
- Supporting SCADA system hardware, software, and field and/or control center personnel.
- Support interface configurations between SCADA applications and other real-time, on-line, and batch application processes.
- Implement updates to the documentation, design, and administration of the SCADA system and related applications.
- Conduct testing and implement changes to SCADA reports, databases, and displays
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in Automation Engineering projects for the design and implementation of automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects.
- Engage in all phases of automation projects, front-end engineering through detailed design, procurement, configuration, implementation, startup, and commissioning in areas such as DCS Configuration, SCADA, HMI, SIS/FGS PLC programming and interfacing, architecture and networking, and specification development.
- Attend and support site surveys, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT's), Site Acceptance Test (SAT's) and commissioning activities for delivered systems.
- Review, comment, and provide input on the project schedule and project cost estimate.
- Support procurement with vendors lists development, requisition development, technical bid tabulations and clarifications, purchase recommendations, monitor progress and maintain communications with vendors as require.
- Travel expected to customer locations for project implementation (25%).
QUALIFICATIONS
Typical deliverables and activitieMust have between 10 and 15 years' Automation experience.
- Experience with an operating company, systems vendor, or engineering services provider for the midstream and liquid pipeline operations & gas and/or energy industry, is preferred.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in Control Systems hardware, network architecture, integration, configuration and programming, industrial protocols, HMI Graphics and databases, and SCADA System configuration and installations.
- Extensive experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA or (OASYS) 7.5. including, but not limited to, application administration, maintenance, upgrades, issue investigation, and troubleshooting is required.
- Experience with MQTT protocol and configuration, Oracle, PI, LogMate is a plus.
- Experience with PLC platforms (Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens, etc.) and other SCADA Systems (Wonderware, etc.)is a plus
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge of the principles of relational databases, application interfaces, and Human Machine Interface design and implementation.
- Strong background and direct experience with multiple systems platforms, operating systems and the interactions between systems, system hardware and architecture.
