Your role and responsibilities

This position reports to the Mining Procurement and Logistics Manager North America. • Active support and collaboration with Front end Sales during project bid phase to contribute to customer satisfaction and order intake. • Working within cross functional teams to ensure project delivery on time, on budget and meeting quality criteria. • Develop and maintain a sustainable supply chain by identifying and selecting the most appropriate suppliers by conducting sourcing activities, auditing, and bring value to our business strategy. • Ensure day to day activities are in proper adherence to Procurement and Logistics policies, processes, and guidelines. • Work closely with the project team to define procurement strategy and procurement plan with regards to project materials and services. • Support project manager in the drafting requests for bids or contracts, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts to achieve Cost Reduction measures. • Perform supplier visits during various stages of the projects for quality inspections, on-time delivery, and compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project procurement activities working in procurement, SCM or similar function with complex product portfolio in an industrial environment.
• Technical electrical education with further training in business administration, supply management or project management.
• Knowledge of procurement controls and regulations and legal contracts.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgears, e-houses, MCC (Motor Control Center), ...
• Available to travel 20% for business trips of short durations.
• Familiarity with SAP, SAP Ariba, MS OFFICE, MS Teams, Salesforce, Power Bi
