Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Blades Structural Materials

The Blades, Procurement Department is part of the overall Vestas Global Procurement Organization. Blades procurement is responsible for the management and development of the Global supplier base within the Blades product area. The Department is split into 3 commodities with different system and materials responsibility, where Blades Structural Materials are one of 2 material areas, covering Carbon, Core Materials, and Chemicals. The Blades procurement team consists of 25+ people working in a matrix organization where we have colleagues in India, China, Portugal, Denmark, Brazil, Mexico, and USA. The procurement work within Vestas is managed through cross functional teams in the context of Module and Category Management.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for regional support for Europe and US to global sourcing responsible related to the areas of Carbon, Core Materials and Chemicals
  • Supplier Account Manager (SAM) responsibility for defined suppliers in the EU and AME - establish and promote partnerships with selected suppliers
  • Support, defining and implementing the commodity strategies within Carbon, Core and Chemicals
  • Conduct supplier negotiations and contract implementation
  • Responsible for selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting plus implementing projects with new, as well as existing suppliers in collaboration with the global responsible SR
  • Implementation of New Product Introduction within Core, Chemicals and Carbon, in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders such as VPS (R&D), Logistics,
  • Supplier Quality, etc


Qualifications
  • The qualified candidate can be a newly graduate with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering or hold a solid work experience within Procurement.
  • Professional communication skills including fluent English skills are required (both orally and in writing)
  • Advanced skills within PPT, Excel & Word is needed
  • SAP Experience is welcomed
