We currently have a Waste Water Performance Manager position available for a motivated individual to join our team in South West Region. Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

About the role

We're looking for a Waste Water Performance Manager who can lead a team of performance analysts and technicians to validate and assure the quality of data from 1000's of EDM sensors on storm overflows and flow monitors measuring sewage flow in the network. You'll be responsible for reporting information on various wastewater performance metrics and permit compliance internally within a multi-disciplinary team of Asset and Operational Managers and externally to the Environment Agency and Ofwat. You'll directly contribute to improved environmental performance and protecting our rivers and seas in the South West.

What you'll be doing:
    • Manage the delivery of the regulatory data associated with MCERTs flow monitoring, FTT and EDM monitoring.
    • Manage teams responsible for data provision and maintenance tracking of regulatory flow and EDM equipment. Oversee audit preparation and completion.
    • Liaison with EA and other bodies as appropriate with regards to MCERTs flow, EDM and FTT.
    • Identify assets not meeting regulatory requirements (SOAF/SFTP/ MCERTS data quality/DWF) and liaise with Operations, Asset Management and Partners to investigate, track and rectify issues.
    • Attend relevant Water UK TAF and other National Policy Meetings relating to Flow and EDM.
    • To keep the business aware of all new MCERTs and EDM regulatory and policy changes. Identifying and supporting the delivery of training.
    • Support the business with regards to providing accurate EDM and flow data for pollution prevention processes, pollution No Impact Statements, EIRs and legal challenges.
    • Support the business with near real time reporting obligations.

What we are looking for:
    • Degree or equivalent in technical discipline
    • Proven ability to manage and deliver in a commercial / operational role.
    • Experience in the use of software and IT systems to review data against engineering expectations
    • Strong analytical approach to data and data quality
    • Sound knowledge of Environmental Regulation and Water Discharge Permits.
    • High quality technical skills
    • Full UK Driving Licence
