Job Description

The engineering department of Technip Energies' Paris office has 60 years of experience in the design of energy projects and is made up of 600 people representing all the disciplines of our facilities.

The Design of Units & Piping team is at the center of engineering studies and is one of the few teams to work on all phases of onshore/offshore projects and on all product lines: LNG, refining, hydrogen, carbon capture, offshore wind, mining and metals, plastics recycling.

The Design of Units & Piping team is currently looking for an Lead Onshore/Offshore Piping Installation Engineer F/M, who will be responsible for designing and implementing piping systems in the Oil & Gas and Energy Transition fields.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and the Piping Installation / General Installation team to guarantee the quality of the studies and ensure that projects are delivered on time.

As Lead Onshore/Offshore Piping Installation Engineer, you will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Managing the activities of the Piping Installation discipline in Paris or remotely once they have been developed in our subcontracting centers abroad (the teams range from a few people for preliminary projects or energy transition projects to several dozen for mega gas liquefaction projects, for example).

  • Providing overall management, with the support of specialists within the team, for all the discipline's specialities (Layout, Installation, Modelling, Flexibility calculations, Support, Handling, Quantity surveys, etc.).

  • Preparing team progress reports for project managers and the Piping Installation department.

  • Checking compliance with verification procedures.

  • Suggest method improvements to the department.

The job involves occasional travel in France and abroad.

About you:

Degree in mechanical engineering or generalist

10 years' experience in industrial design

Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D design tools (e.g. Autocad, Microstation, AVEVA E3D, Hexagon S3D)

Fluency in French and English
