We are looking for a Senior Research Lead to join our LNG team.

Why is this job important?

The role of the team is to deliver data-driven analysis and reports as our customers worldwide rely on our expertise to make their trading and investment decisions. The team develops proprietary fundamental and price forecasting models and produces the forward-looking view of supply, demand, and prices. The team also offers in-depth view and explanation of our forecasted data in the thought leadership reports. Our customers span over the Natural Gas and LNG producers, importers, distribution companies, trading houses, and financial and governmental institutions.

Preferred candidates must demonstrate analytical and interpersonal skills and have experience in the LNG market.

Main responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership on global LNG market trends, supply and demand fundamentals
  • Lead analysis and production of our flagship LNG market commodity reports, including weekly updates, seasonal and long-term forecasts
  • Shape and implement strategies to improve the deliverability of market insights and reports
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal and external customers
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging markets, and technological advancements.
  • Contribute to new sales and retention by conducting product demonstrations, client meetings and presentations
  • Improve content and design of our Workspace/Eikon-based analytical tools, charts, and tables
  • Collaborate across wider commodities Research team members for process and policy alignment, methods of work and standard methodologies

Requirements:
  • Higher education in economics, business, mathematics or /energy related degree
  • Deep understanding of supply and demand fundamentals in the gas and LNG industry
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an analyst in the energy sector
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software being beneficial
  • Excellent writing skills with experience in producing detailed and informative market reports
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive projects to successful completion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
